Our process, step by step

Prior to snowfall, we run a site-specific checklist: map hazards, prep melt, and assign crews to zones. Dispatch monitor live radar and adjust routes as the sky changes.

When flakes start, operators roll out with preloaded service plans. Edge guards stay safe near curbs to guard your investment. Foot teams stage to entries and align with plows so staff move freely.

During long events, we cycle priority areas on rotating cadence. Melt is refreshed where shade invite refreeze. Teams capture photos every round so you see exactly where we focused.

After the storm, we perform a closure pass to clean edges, treat slick spots, and leave notes with time stamps and next steps. If temps will drop, we schedule a preventive touch to block black ice.

Safety and compliance

Safety drives our playbook. Every operator trains on melt chemistry, ADA access, and visibility around delivery staff. We use flags in low light and maintain two-way comms in case cell coverage dips.

Municipal rules shape our pile placement. We block sightline loss and keep ADA ramps ready. Salt rates match pavement temps so grip stays reliable without runoff.

Compliance officers prefer us because photos deliver with timestamps, geo tags, and crew signatures. Should you request COIs, we provide them fast and refresh them each season.

Schools receive special attention for priority ramps. Mixed-use blocks see extended coverage so guest hours keep flowing. Gated communities can opt into sidewalk care with documented passes.

We map sun/shade and adjust melt rates for each micro-zone. That focus sustains safe steps even when temps swing.

Commercial sites need tight timing. We coordinate with dock schedules so teams depart without hazard. Healthcare clients depend on us for safe walks that enhance their brand.

Residential clients enjoy quiet night work that respect lawns. We sweep side doors and de-ice stoops so guests feel secure.

Maintenance and prevention

Snow is not the only threat. We anti-ice prior to accumulation to block bond. After clearing, we salt shadow lines where temps hold cold.

We inspect downspouts for blockage and open them so meltwater drains away from walkways. We install melt socks in high-risk spots for fast touch-ups during overnight events.

Our de-icer blends are tuned to traffic patternspaversso safety holds without staining. We document what we apply so you know coverage clearly.

Six families (with last names of Smith, Brown, Pierson, Freeman, Ball and Gildersleeve) came up today's Ridgewood Road and established scattered farms around a center that became Jefferson Village, named after Thomas Jefferson. This settlement, which roughly corresponds to downtown Maplewood today, developed several mills and orchards. John Durand, the son of Hudson River School painter Asher Brown Durand (who was born in Maplewood in 1796), describes the place as a picturesque but slightly backward community with close ties to Springfield. The apple harvest was apparently quite impressive and included the "Harrison" and "Canfield" varieties. By 1815, there were approximately 30 families in the community. Although the residents of the area were predominantly Presbyterian, the first house of worship was a Baptist chapel in 1812. This was in use until 1846 and fell into disrepair until 1858, when it was taken into use as a Methodist Episcopal church.
